As I was hiking Eberwhite Woods on a sunny afternoon last week, these sweet buds stopped me in my tracks. The appreciation for Spring was palpable in the park that day - an abundance of smiles and well-wishes exchanged among hikers. And there was a genuine quality to it. It felt real. 

This 'goodness' is our true nature. It just gets covered over a lot.

You can do it another way. Contact goodness often, whatever that may be for you. Linger there.  Marinate in simple daily pleasures.

With practice, this approach quells any undercurrents of doubt or pessimism.   

And best of all, you won't miss the gifts of Spring!
